  • Child Ticket for passengers aged 6 but below 14. Ages of the children are calculated based on the date of travel. A child who is aged below 6 may travel free, provided that he/she is accompanied by a passenger aged 18 or above and does not need to occupy an additional seat. The valid identification document of the child must be provided upon ticket purchase. In the event that more than one child is travelling with a single adult holding a ticket, Child Ticket(s) shall be bought for the additional child(ren). Any child who is eligible for free travel occupies a seat, a Child Ticket shall be bought for him/her

  • Please note: Simplified Chinese name must be filled in for ticket purchase, and English name must be filled in only valid passports that comply with the regulations of the People’s Republic of China
  • Tickets are only valid for the ticketed date, train number and Class of Travel. Passengers who get off the train mid-journey or those who have not travelled the whole journey cannot use the same ticket for the remainder of the journey
  • Please be reminded to ensure that you have the valid travel documents while travelling. The gates on Level B3 will close 5 minutes prior to departure time
  • You must provide an original identification document that complies with the Rules for Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High Speed Rail Cross-Boundary Passenger Transport to enter the station for boarding
  • Passengers found to be travelling without a valid ticket shall be handled in accordance with the relevant regulations. Adult passengers found to be travelling with a Child Ticket will be treated as travelling without a ticket
  • Unless affected by service disruptions or the train crew agrees to issue a supplementary ticket with excess fare paid, passengers must alight at the destination station as shown on the ticket
  • Passengers who are deemed unsuitable for train journeys in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations, and passengers whom the railway transport company believes will threaten public health and safety, violate the relevant laws, disturb public order at the stations or trains, or harass other passengers, or passengers who are travelling in violation of the regulations or refuse to pay excess fares can be denied train service. Passengers who have bought a ticket but did not travel with the ticket, can request a refund at the departure station after paying the refund fee; for those who have travelled with the ticket, the fare for the journey from the alighting station to the original destination station will not be refunded and the transport contract will be terminated immediately
  • Please go to West Kowloon Station at least 45 minutes in advance to go through immigration procedures, and prepare your visa or other valid travel documents before boarding the bus
  • Ticket Types - Adult and Child Tickets are available. Child Ticket must be bought together with Adult Ticket. "No Seat Ticket" is not available on cross boundary service. Passengers should sit according to their seat number.
  • Fares - Fares are different for different Classes of Travel: Second Class, First Class, Premium Class and Business Class are available. Premium Class and Business Class are only available on some Mainland trains. Please refer to Implemented Fare Charts in HKD

  • Real-name Policy - Personal identification documents must be presented and verified for all ticket purchases, after-sales services and upon request on trains. Each valid identification document can only be used to buy one ticket for the same train on the same date. Passengers’ proof of travel are the valid identification documents used for ticket purchase. Any accompanying children who are eligible for free travel, the proof of travel are their valid identification documents used for declaration upon purchase of the tickets.
  • Acceptable valid personal identification documents: Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents (Home Return Permit) , PRC Resident Identity Card , PRC Residence Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents , PRC Residence Permit for Taiwan Residents , PRC Foreign Permanent Resident Identity Card , PRC Exit/Entry Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao , Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan ResidentsPassports recognized by the PRC Government
  • Passengers must provide personal information of each passenger when purchasing a ticket, including name, ID number, date of birth, date of issue of ID, and date of expiration of ID. Passport holders must fill in their nationality
  • When entering the gate, you must present the original identity document entered when purchasing the ticket, and all information must be exactly the same. If there is a difference, the passenger will not be allowed to enter the gate

  • Starting from 14 August 2023, passengers travelling between Hong Kong West Kowloon Station and Futian Station can make extra three last-minute changes to their train trips on the day of travel through the Futian Same-day Flexi-trip Arrangement*, in addition to the General Ticket Alteration. There is no service charge for this change.
  • Passengers traveling between Hong Kong West Kowloon Station and Futian Station who want to change trains can use "Flexible Travel" directly to change to designated trains on the same day for free up to 3 times between 45 minutes before the original train departs and within 1 hour after the departure*.
  • Passengers who use the "flexible travel" to change trains need to choose from the 38 trains that start and end at West Kowloon Station or Futian Station on the same day, and the trains with Futian Station as the intermediate station are not included.
  • 5 Key Points of Flexi-trip Arrangement
  • Applicable for passengers travelling between West Kowloon Station and Futian Station who wish to make changes to their train trip on the day of travel*
  • Allow to change your train trip up to 3 times on the day of travel
  • Must be processed no later than 1 hour after train departs
  • Select new departures from the 38 direct trains running between West Kowloon and Futian (excluding trains with Futian as an intermediate stop)
  • A ticket with the same Class of Travel as the original ticket will be arranged
  • Passengers could go to Hong Kong West Kowloon Station Ticket Machines: at the Ticketing Concourse on Level B1 (before entering the gate)/Flexi-trip Self-service Points: at the opposite to the Gate no. 11 in the Departure Concourse on Level B3 (after immigration) to process Flexi-trip.
  • In order to ensure that passengers can still flexibly change to trains on the same day when the train is full, the 38 designated trains covered by the "flexible travel" will introduce "no reserved seats". These seats will only be available for "flexible travel" passengers to change trains at a specified time** before the train departs. Passengers who are allocated "no reserved seats" may need to stand in the designated compartment to board the train.

  • *Passengers departing from West Kowloon Station can directly use "Flexible Travel" from 45 minutes before the departure of the original train to one hour after departure; passengers departing from Futian can use it from 30 minutes before the departure of the original train to one hour after departure. Directly use "Flexible Line" to change tickets for free within hours.
  • **Non-reserved seats are only for "Flexible Travel" passengers to change trains, and will be provided 45 minutes before the departure of the designated train for the northbound train, and 30 minutes before the departure of the designated train for the southbound train.
  • ***"General ticket change" arrangement: According to the current "Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High Speed ​​Rail Cross-Border Passenger Transport Organization Rules", after purchasing a high-speed rail ticket, passengers can change the ticket once for free, including changing the boarding date, train number or class of carriage, Hong Kong The cut-off time for changing tickets for departing trains is 45 minutes before departure, while for mainland trains it is 30 minutes before departure. Each ticket can only be changed once, and the ticket cannot be refunded after being changed.
